Instant payments are transfers from one Swiss account to another that run around the clock, including weekends and holidays, and move the money in seconds. Once an instant payment goes through, it's final and can't be reversed.

This is made possible by a national system for instant payments, operated by SIX. The Swiss National Bank has mandated that all Swiss banks support instant payments by the end of 2026 – today, over 95% of Swiss retail banks, including neon, already do.
