What happens if I switch from neon free, neon plus, or neon global to neon metal while I have an active phone insurance?
Since neon metal includes the phone insurance, we would automatically cancel your previously purchased phone insurance in the background and then re-subscribe you to it as part of your new neon metal plan. Of course, the 30-day waiting period does not apply in this case and you are covered by the insurance without interruption during the change.

Your mobile phone insurance covers you against all possible kinds of damage.Whether your mobile phone accidentally breaks into a thousand pieces while skiing or is snatched from your hand by an unpleasant fellow raver at a festival – we’ve got you covered. Regardless of the value, age or type of device of your mobile phone.
Please note: neon has no authority to make decisions in the event of insurance claims. This is the sole responsibility of the insurance partners. Therefore, please contact the respective partner directly in case of insurance claims.

My phone is damaged/lost/was stolen. What can I do?
You went swimming with it and the rice trick didn't work? Get yourself a new phone, download the app, activate your phone and account by ordering a new device activation code in «Profile», «Security» and «Generate activation code», and carry on banking. Thanks to the separate login code and transaction PIN it's pretty much impossible that someone can access your info or money. But, if you prefer, we can of course lock your account temporarily until you have the new phone. To do so, send us a quick message. Please do not send us sensitive information (account balance, transactions, etc.) via email.

What else do I need to bear in mind with the mobile phone insurance?
The mobile phone insurance only applies to your own mobile phone, whose phone number is registered to your neon account. And it must be activated with neon. You can make one claim a year, with a deductible of 150 CHF per claim. The insurance cover starts 30 days after you’ve received your neon metal card.

Are other people also covered?
This depends on the insurance. For example, the travel insurance covers your whole family (wife/husband, children, etc.) as long as you live in the same household. The phone insurance only applies to you and the extended warranty only applies to products purchased with your neon Mastercard. For the exact details, please consult the relevant GCI.
